Bro. Terry is the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church.  He arrived here in 2005 after eleven years of ministry in an inner-city church in Dallas.  His previous pastorates have included one in Tyler, Texas and Cherokee, Alabama.

Terry received his B.A. at the Criswell College in Dallas.  He also attended Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee before completing his Master of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1990.

Bro. Terry and his wife, Deborah, are the proud parents of three children: Jeff, Kelly and Dustin.  All of their children are grown and married.  But they are especially proud of their grandchildren, who make excellent sermon illustrations, Evan, P.J., Katelyn and Drew.

Doug Stevens has served churches in Texas and Arkansas for over 30 years. He came to First Baptist Church of Greenville in 1995 where he presently serves as the Associate Pastor. First Baptist has a rich history filled with meaningful ministries and lasting relationships, and since 1995 Doug has walked with the church body through the up�s and down�s of church growth.

His ministry responsibilities include Music/Worship, Education, and Multimedia. All three areas of ministry are growing and he is constantly looking for creative ways to grow, build, and encourage the church family. You are invited to join the family of musicians and Christian educators as we look beyond ourselves and see a community in need of Christ.

Alesa Benson has been the office administrator at First Baptist Church of Greenville for over 13 years. Alesa and her husband, Dennis, recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. They have two daughters and sons-in-law and are the very proud grandparents of four wonderful grandchildren. Greenville has been their home for most of their married life with FBC being their church home for 14 years. They are very thankful for the ministry that God has blessed them with at FBC.

Curt has been a member of First Baptist for over 10 years, and has been with the Recreation Ministry for over 2 years. Curt is married to his college sweetheart, Katie.  They have 2 boys, Chris and Nicolas.  Curt is very active in sports, including volleyball, softball, and basketball, as well as, helping his boys with their sports.  Curt has a desire to use sports and recreation to reach lost people.
